All the communications equipment is now ready and setup to be installed. Its role will be on the one hand to connect solar inverters and batteries – in short the power generation and energy storage – and on the other hand to interface with the smart village technology. (More about the smart village technology in an upcoming blog post.) The central transmitting equipment shall be installed high up in the tower of Dar Bouidar’s mosque. That will ensure optimal wireless coverage all across the village. VPN access will be available so that we can reliably access monitoring data and receive important alerts as and when they arise. We’ve had some great support from Christian and Guido and would like to kindly say thank you very much!
